PADI Freediver Terms and Conditions
These are the Terms and Conditions as set out by Double Threat Pty Ltd AFT TK & JA Price Family Trust trading as Double Threat Charters Yeppoon. Please read and do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further quires. These terms and conditions are in effect once we have accepted your booking either via phone, email or in person. Once the deposit has been made all conditions are considered accepted in full.
Due to the current Global Pandemic caused by COVID-19, there have been some additional safety measures put in place. There may be necessary changes made to your Charter after your booking has been accepted due to changes made under the Health Act. Please discuss any concerns you have with us prior to departure as your safety and comfort is important to us.
General Rules:

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the departure time of your trip (at the Coast Guard Boat Ramp, not Marina), if this is a mixed booking we will not wait for late customers as it’s not fair for others to be left waiting.

Number of Passengers:

Maximum number of passengers is 4.

Minimum number of passengers is 4. Double Threat Charters Yeppoon requires a minimum of 4 passengers to run a trip. If no other individual bookings are received within 14 days before the trip. The following options will be provided; a minimum charge of 4 people applies, or individuals can nominate an alternative date.

Bookings and Payments:

Deposit of 50% is required to secure the booking and balance of payment to be made 14 days before the course. Padi Touch will not be sent until deposit has been received.
Cancellations and Refunds:

If you have booked a full boat and there are cancellations within your party, we require a minimum of 10 day’s notice to fill the vacancy or your party will be liable for the full balance.

Double Threat Charters Yeppoon requires at least 14 day’s notice if you wish to cancel your booking. If 14 day’s notice is not given you will forfeit your deposit. Any cancelations made within 13 days before the charter will require full payment to be made.

You may nominate a full refund of deposit or transfer your deposit to an alternative date if your trip has been cancelled by Double Threat Charters Yeppoon.

If a person becomes unwell and requests to be returned to port, no refund will be given. It is at the Skipper’s discretion whether the vessel will return to port.

Double Threat Charters Yeppoon will not be held liable for any indirect costs incurred by a fishing charter being cancelled.

In the event of a trip being cancelled by Double Threat Charters Yeppoon, we will not be held liable for any travel costs, meals, accommodation or any other costs the customer may incur.
Gift Vouchers:

Gift vouchers must be produced at the time of boarding; otherwise a new fare must be paid.

If the customer holding the voucher misses the trip on the booked day without providing 14 days notice or is late and the boat has left port, then the voucher will be forfeited.

Gift vouchers are not transferrable or refundable.

Gift vouchers must be redeemed within 36 months of purchase (unless shorter time frame specified on the voucher).
Weather:

All Courses are subject to suitable weather conditions (at the discretion of the skipper) we reserve the right to cancel any trip due to bad weather (even at short notice).

In an instance where the weather has changed unexpectedly after leaving port, it is at the discretion of the Skipper if a part refund will be provided.
Safety Brief:

A Safety Brief is given before departure from port and must be adhered to.

Spear guns must always be used in a safe manner. There will be no loaded guns aboard the vessel.

All customers must declare any pre-existing medical conditions or any medication prior to booking and departure (as some people may require special attention).

We have the right to ask any customer to wear a life jacket at any time.
Customer Behaviour:

It is a requirement that all customers behave in a safe and respectful manner to all staff, other passengers and our property.

If there has been loss or damage to our equipment or vessel due to negligence or unruly behaviour then the customer will be liable for replacement or repair of the item.

The Skipper reserves the right to cancel a trip and payment forfeited if unruly or unsafe behaviour is displayed.
Alcohol:

Alcohol is not allowed onboard the vessel during Padi Freediver courses. All course participants must have a zero blood alcohol level.
Global Positioning System:

All devices with GPS capabilities are banned from use on the vessel and may be confiscated and returned at the end of the trip. If found to be in use the vessel will immediately be return to Port.
COVID-19:

Before boarding the vessel, please confirm you have not had any of the following symptoms within the last 14 days: fever, coughing, sore throat, fatigue (tiredness) and difficulty breathing or shortness of breath or been in contact with someone that has tested positive for COVD-19.

Before boarding the vessel, please advise if you have travelled to a known COVID-19 Hotspot or interstate in the last 14 days.

Please ensure you are following the Queensland Health travel directive. We understand that the distances differ depending on your region. We understand this directive is being updated often, but we do need to ensure this rule is being followed.

On the day of your charter you will be assigned a colour for your food. This is to ensure hygiene standards can be adhered to.

Hand sanitiser and anti-bacterial wipes are located near the skipper; we encourage customers to use through out the day.

Due to the nature of the charter industry we encourage our customers to download the COVIDsafe App. If you do not have the app downloaded, please advise the skipper on the day. This is to ensure we are meeting all Queensland Health directives.Due to the nature of the charter industry we are required that our customers have download the COVIDsafe App and have linked their Vaccination certificate. This is to ensure we are meeting all Queensland Health directives.

Please be aware that social distancing rules still apply. We understand that the nature of fishing means that this cannot always be followed.

We will ensure that we regularly review our systems to ensure they are consistent with current directions and advice provided by health authorities.
Here at Double Threat Charters Yeppoon we want to provide a safe and happy fishing experience for our customers. However due to the nature of fishing charter please be mindful that there is the risk of injury or even the more extreme. Please understand and appreciate the dangers involved and once aboard the vessel the passenger must assume and accept all risks.
